High Alpha is a venture studio focused on launching next-generation enterprise cloud companies. Their core value, “Move fast,” inspired the open concept design, which drives intentional collaboration and makes room for serendipitous encounters.

Challenges
  1. Challenge: Representing the Brand

High Alpha desired a one-of-a-kind design concept illustrating their strengths and brand, specifically their expertise in launching companies fast. Distinctive details like the airfoil shape of the anchor wall, gradient blue sky film on the partner suite glass, and aeronautical décor all reflect High Alpha’s image in a subtle but striking way.

  2. Challenge: Functionality in a Small Space

With only 5,000 square feet on the top floor of Circle Tower, creative use of limited space required areas to be multifunctional. The open reception area transforms into a seating area for up to 30 people for guest speakers. The adjacent platform and pit function as casual work spaces most of the time and a stage for speakers when needed.

  3. Challenge: New Design Mixed with Old Charm

Parallel was challenged to work with the existing architecture and character of an aging and imperfect building to create a crisp, modern environment. White-washed hardwood floors juxtaposed against the white walls set an airy, fresh tone for the space. Natural light adds to the skyward feel of High Alpha’s brand.
