Challenges
  1. Challenge: Creative Comfort

SEP’s Product Design Studio needed to serve many functions while maintaining a comfort level for multi-day discovery sessions. Guests can take their pick from bar height seating, sofas, chairs, and stools. Changes in position for long sedentary periods are made possible with flex back chairs and stools that promote movement.

  2. Challenge: Concealing Hardware

The studio records and monitors data via cameras at their user experience center where they evaluate new software on different devices. To help users feel more comfortable and at ease, we concealed cameras by mounting them flush to the walls and integrating design features to help them blend into their surroundings.

  3. Challenge: Flexible Function

This multi-use space required creativity and thoughtful planning. Aluminum tables fold up and provide marketing space, the metal barn door features a built-in serving door, and the stage transforms into different huddle zones with built-in storage. The common area easily pivots from an open lounge to a guest check-in.
